Funding for your business

Northamptonshire County Council funds a number of projects and partners to provide support for local businesses. A range of other funding and support is also available to businesses within the county.​

Northamptonshire Growth Hub

The Northamptonshire Growth Hub offer support to access the funding needed to help grow your business, by offering a varied grant programme and directing businesses to other sources of funding.

Northamptonshire Digital Enhancement Programme

Led by Northamptonshire County Council, this European-funded programme is designed to support to SMEs to grow digitally, and includes a digital grant scheme offering grants of up to £5,000.


Delivered in partnership with the University of Northampton, this European-funded programme is designed to support new and established businesses to grow, and includes a grant programme.

LEADER Programme 2015 to 2020

The LEADER programme is a grant scheme aimed at small and medium-sized rural businesses such as:

  • farmers wishing to diversify
  • tourism projects
  • community groups
  • foresters and other rural enterprises

Invest to Grow

The Invest to Grow programme is designed to support private sector businesses to innovate, grow and create jobs.

£16m of Regional Growth Fund money is now available to businesses across the East Midlands and managed by the University of Derby.

Start Up Loans

Start Up Loans is a government scheme providing funding and support for individuals looking to start or grow a business in the UK.
