Service description:
LIVE is a new service specifically designed to support people with a disability to live independently, find paid employment, or volunteer in the community.

LIVE knows that everyone that joins them is an individual, and they make sure to listen closely to their needs so that, together, they can create a plan that works.

For you the LIVE programme might be a journey, helping you to decide what you want to do and supporting you to build the skills you need to get there. LIVE will take you through each task step-by-step, from increasing your confidence to CV-writing.

On the other hand, you might only need the programme to develop a few key areas, such as budgeting or finding the right training.

LIVE’s goal is to build your skills and help you find a new role so you can be as independent as possible and live your life, your way.

The LIVE Steps:

- Customer Profile and Aspirations
- Employment Needs
- Development Plan
- Independent Living Skills and Vocational Training
- Volunteering
- Employment or Self-Employment

Although a relatively new service, customers of LIVE have been trained to deliver many successful horticulture and gardening projects within the community. Through community involvement and social participation like the gardening projects, LIVE works to build the confidence of disabled people, raising aspirations and self belief that more can be achieved.
