opportunities

Admissions process

Options Bredon House adheres to a specific and structured policy with regards to referral, assessment and admissions procedures. As a needs-led and personcentred service, we provide assessments that enable the person being assessed to contribute by using their preferred method of communication as well as advocacy. All assessments are undertaken by appropriately trained members of staff and with clinical input where necessary. They are conducted in partnership with key people including parents, carers and clinical professionals. Our aim is to offer appropriate, ASC-specific placements that focus on the short and long term aspirations and abilities of the people we support.
People will typically be diagnosed with or undergoing a diagnosis for autism. However due to the variation in diagnostic terminology they may be diagnosed with an autistic spectrum disorder or condition, as having high-functioning autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, a pervasive development disorder, learning disabilities or autistic traits.
