Service description:
This is a small person-centred service that supports individuals with a learning disability or a physical disability. They provide enjoyable days whilst helping clients to build on their skills and gain new ones. Foundations have regular person-centred reviews, set achievable actions, and support clients to fulfil their life goals. Their experienced staff are passionate about supporting clients to achieve what they want to achieve, and they have the skills to adapt to working with differing wants and needs.

Foundations also offer a personal assistant (PA) on a one-to-one basis for those who would like one, and also to support clients on evenings out.

Foundations support many people with different abilities. A lot of the clients are young adults that like to socialise, make new friends, gain independent living skills, or to find employment / voluntary work, all whilst having fun.

The service is client-led, which means that Foundations look at what the clients want to do each day, and try to fulfil their needs. They do a lot of sessions in-house, which range from art and crafts, cookery, computer skills, games, money skills, exercise, gardening, and much more. Foundations also run several outdoor sessions, including trips to bowling alleys, cinemas, swimming pools, gyms, sports centres, and outdoor sports venues.

Foundations can help with travel training, and they regularly arrange day trips, evenings out, and (sometimes) weekends away for clients that would like them.

Foundations offer free transport within the Corby locality (depending on availability). They can also provide transport outside of Corby but mileage will be charged.
