Service description:
Action Support is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Northampton. They have a unique approach to delivering practical services in the community.

Action Support run training projects and workshops, have retail outlets, and socially responsible activities.

Train 4 Work

Action Support run a 'Train 4 Work' program for those out of work for any reason and want to work. They offer training to enter the workplace (such as confidence-building skills, CV writing , and so on) as well as employability skills as diverse as learning retail and customer service skills, furniture restoration and repair, bike repair, gardening, DIY and decorating.

The majority of the current intake are aged 17 to 45 and many have learning, mental health or physical difficulties.

Scooter 2 Go

Based at the Mayorhold Car Park in Northampton, Action Support operate Scooter 2 Go. You can join a membership scheme to help regular customers to budget expenditure or “pay as you go” for a wheelchair or mobility scooter.
