The Coach House is a care home that can support up to four residents. It specialises in autism and challenging behaviours, and aims to improve the independent living skills of its residents.
Situated on the outskirts of Corby, The Coach House is close to local amenities, and there are good bus links to the town centre. Residents are encouraged to develop independence through the use of public transport, but there is access to a private vehicle when required.
Residents each have their own flat, and a tailor-made support package. Each flat has its own separate entrance and contains a bedroom, an en-suite (level access) shower and a lounge/dining room. Ground-floor flats have access to their own patio. The flats provide an environment where each individual can enjoy a meaningful lifestyle with appropriate support from staff.
There are regular visits to a swimming pool, a bowling alley and local cafes. They have access to specialist services such as college courses and hydrotherapy or sensory facilities.
The Coach House encourages residents to build their independence and participate in community activities. People are supported to make informed choices, with input from their families, if they wish.
