Service description:
IPSEA is a national charity providing free legally based advice to families who have children with special educational needs. All our advice is given by trained volunteers.

IPSEA’s Tribunal Helpline is dedicated to giving advice and support when you are in a Tribunal situation. You may be making a Tribunal Appeal against a decision made by your LA concerning your child’s special educational needs, or you may be making a Disability Discrimination claim.

When you call our Tribunal Helpline, an IPSEA Volunteer Adviser will listen to your reason for calling and assess where you are in the Tribunal process. They will give you next step advice on preparing your case.

Our volunteer will also assess whether you need support from an individual IPSEA Volunteer Caseworker. Demand for our free Tribunal Casework Support is high. We assess each individual family’s needs and their case complexity in order to make the best use of our Volunteer Caseworkers.

IPSEA's Tribunal Helpline is covered by 1 volunteer working from their own home. If the line is busy, our volunteers are all busy taking calls.

There is no answer phone service on our Tribunal Helpline. If you hear an answer phone message, it will be our volunteer's personal voicemail. Please do not leave a message.
