Safety Net was a project aims to prevent the exploitation of people with learning disabilities by those claiming to be their friends, and to deal with issues around mate crime.

The Safety Net website has been developed to:
• Keep you up to date with all the latest developments in the Safety Net Train the Trainer project
• Look at how people with learning disabilities can be affected by hate and mate crime
• Help you to recognise and report incidents of mate crime
• Provide you with valuable resources and tools on hate and mate crime

Safety Net has developed a number of resources to help people with a learning disability, and those who support them, recognise and report mate crime.
