Service description:
I have been working in childcare for 25 years with many references from parents and children I have minded over that period. I have done many courses and qualifications the latest been first aid and 5 star's from environmental health when they came to do my inspection.
I offer a warm and caring environment within my home, i have lots of toys and equipment for ages birth to 16 years. I am happy to take and collect children to and from school. I enjoy taking children on walks, library, playgroups with parents or carers permission

What specialist services and expertise are available at or accessed by the early years setting?

I have also volunteered at my grown up sons school supporting children 4-11 with their reading skills. I have worked with a child has physical disabilities I have a strong network of support from other childminders, Early Years Professionals, library and support groups online. I can access further expertise from my Morton Michelle co-ordinator, the local authority or seek advice from other professionals.

What training have the staff supporting children with SEND had or are having?

Training is undertaken regularly to ensure necessary knowledge and to enhance my professional development as the need arises. I am always happy to work closely with parent carers and outside agencies to learn specific skills to support children with additional needs. I have recently completed Working With Students with Special Education needs QCF 3, Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia Centre) , I am certified in Paediatric, First Aid At Work & AED, Basic Starter Nutrition Course, Food Safety QCF 3, Introduction To Human Nutrition QCF 3 and have trained at level 4 Safe guarding & attended the Safe guarding refresher 2014
