Service description:
Starlight Children’s Foundation is a national children’s charity that is dedicated to brightening the lives of children and teenagers (4 to 18 years) suffering from a serious or terminal illness.

Starlight Children’s Foundation does this through extensive hospital entertainment and wish granting programmes.

Hospital Services

Starlight provides a year-round programme of entertainment in hospitals and hospices across the country, aiming to improve a child’s experience by using fun and distraction, helping children cope with procedures by focusing on something else.

This includes:
• Distraction boxes
• Boost boxes
• Captain Starlight
• Starlight Pantomimes
• Starlight fun centres

Wish Granting

Starlight grant personalised wishes for children (aged 4 to 18 years) who are suffering from a life-threatening or life-shortening illness.

If the child has already had a wish granted by another organisation, they are not eligible for a Starlight Wish.

Anyone can apply on behalf of the child using the online application form.
