Paul’s Fund is a grant making charitable trust set up with the aim of enabling young adults and their families who are facing challenging personal circumstances to have a respite holiday break staying at 'Paul’s Place', which provides both Bed and Breakfast and self-catering accommodation, in the village of Georgeham near Croyde on the North Devon coast.
Paul’s Place is a ‘bed & breakfast’ and self-catering cottage. It is open to bookings from the general public under the name ‘The Old Bakery’.
You may qualify for a grant if you are a young adult facing one of these challenging circumstances:
• Diagnosis of a terminal or life threatening illness
• Being a long term, unpaid carer of a close relative
You may also qualify for a grant if you are the parent of a young adult who has died, or if you are caring for your son or daughter who has a terminal or life threatening illness.
The grants cover the accommodation costs of the young adult for up to a week along with their spouse or partner, immediate family members or a close friend accompanying them.
Please note: because the cottage takes bookings from the general public, it may not be suitable for people with severe disabilities, significant social or psychiatric problems, drug or alcohol dependency, or other conditions that may require professional support or special facilities.
