Adaptive Snowsports Milton Keynes (ASMK) is a ski club affiliated to the national charity, Disability Snowsport UK. They offer supported recreational adaptive skiing and snowboarding on the second Sunday of the month at the MK Sno!zone in the Xscape Centre.
The group is run by dedicated volunteers and instructors who use a wide range of specialist equipment to provide a safe environment for skiers and boarders with disabilities. Skiers can practise what they learn during adaptive lessons, or simply enjoy a few runs together in a friendly social group.
ASMK is run wholly by volunteers on a ‘not-for-profit’ basis, and has negotiated with MK Sno!zone to provide slope fees for skiers. Additional insurance will be required via a small fee at each session, or by way of an annual membership to Disability Snowsports.
Winter season 19:00 – 22:00 - all other times of year 18:00-21:00
New volunteer helpers (skiers / boarder and non-skiers) are always needed and most welcome, either to act as a slope buddy, or off the slope with by helping load or unload skiers from the lift.
