Type of service:
Health Services
Address:
116 St James Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire NN5 5LQ
Telephone number:
01604684195
Service description:
This team provides special care dentistry for patients unable to visit general dentist practice due to their special needs, learning disabilities, significant health problems, or other issues that prevent them from accessing a regular service. They also work in partnership with other organisations to ensure local communities receive joined-up care for better oral health.

This clinic specialises in treating service users that require behaviour management when receiving dental care. Their aim is to help patients access dental care with minimal specialist intervention, so that they can have fillings, extractions, and gum treatments. The clinic doesn’t offer regular services or advanced restorative care such as crown and bridge work.

The Specialist Dental Service also runs a specially-adapted mobile unit, which features a lift and dental equipment. It can visit special needs students (aged 4-18) in schools around the county. Please call 01536 748044 for more information.
