Service description:
IAPT stands for 'Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies' and is a nationwide government funded initiative to improve the availability of psychological therapies for people with anxiety and depression in primary care.

The service helps people aged 18+ with mild to moderate depression and/or an anxiety disorder. They often work with carers and people with long-term conditions where anxiety and depression is the focus.

Therapeutic work takes place in GP surgeries and other suitable facilities throughout the county but they will occasionally run workshops and webinars out of hours or during the weekend.

Referral is by the GP, or self-referral by calling directly on 0300 999 1616.
