Asthma UK exists to stop asthma attacks by funding world leading research and scientists, campaigning for improved care and supporting people with asthma to reduce their risk of a potentially life threatening asthma attack.

They fight asthma in three ways:

• Funding world class asthma research.
• Campaigning to improve the quality of care received by people with asthma.
• Helping people with advice and support.

Asthma UK provides independent confidential advice and support to people with asthma via their helpline (0300 222 5800). You can also access lots of information and resources to help with your asthma on their website, including a "risk checker" and an "action plan".
