People with learning disabilities are more likely to have sight loss and less likely to get the help and support they need.

SeeAbility is a registered UK charity that supports people with sight loss and multiple disabilities, including learning and physical disabilities, mental health difficulties, acquired brain injury and life-limiting conditions. They provide specialist support enabling people to develop the skills and make the choices they want, to enjoy a fulfilling life with as much independence as possible. Services are available across the south of England, with our nearest services in Buckinghamshire.

SeeAbility also share our expert knowledge to raise awareness and improve eye care for people with learning disabilities, acting as the national voice on behalf of children and adults with sight loss and multiple disabilities, challenging health inequalities faced by those people and their families, and ultimately preventing avoidable sight loss.

SeeAbility also provides eye care support for people with learning disabilities in the community, and sight tests for children with disabilities in special schools through their ‘Children in Focus’ campaign.
