Service description:
Variety works to improve the lives of children and young people throughout the UK who are sick, disabled, or disadvantaged. They provide coaches, bespoke wheelchairs, and specialist sensory or recreational equipment for use in homes, schools, children’s hospitals and youth centres. They also create memorable experiences through ‘Variety Great Days Out.’

Sunshine Coaches

Every day, Variety’s famous Sunshine Coaches transport thousands of young people. Most are used by schools or organisations for children with special needs. Having their own Sunshine Coach enables schools and organisations to plan activities without worrying about the cost and timing of public transport. Each coach represents a team fundraising effort between the school or organisation, Variety, and their corporate and individual sponsors.

For more information about applications, simply visit the website, call Dragana Stojanovic on 020 7428 8108, or email dragana.stojanovic@variety.org.uk.

For more information about applications, simply visit the website, call 020 7428 8110, or email wheelchairs@variety.org.uk. Please note: Applications need to be accompanied by a supporting letter from a suitable professional (such as a physiotherapist or an occupational therapist).

Great Days Out

Variety arranges free days out for schools or organisations that cater for children and young people who are sick, disabled, or disadvantaged. Destinations include Theme parks, ‘Disney on Ice’ performances, the Tower of London, Madame Tussauds, river trips, seaside visits, trips to zoos and circus shows.

If you work with children who are sick, disabled, or disadvantaged and would like to know more about Variety’s great days out, simply visit the website, call 020 7428 8100, or email info@variety.org.uk.

Variety provides specialist equipment to individuals and organisations, with grants ranging from £100 to £6,000. The equipment funded might be medical, (such as monitoring equipment), for basic care (such as feeding tubes or hoists), for sensory play, or mobility equipment (excluding wheelchairs).

For more information about applications, simply visit the website, call 0207 428 8120, or email grants@variety.org.uk.
