Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. Their vision is an end to the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders. They have been a champion, guide and friend to anyone affected by these serious mental illnesses since their founding in 1989 as the Eating Disorders Association, giving sufferers and their loved ones a place where they feel listened to, supported, and empowered.

Helplines
Beat’s helpline services provide support and information 365 days a year, 3pm - 10pm. Call their Helpline on 08088010677 or their Youthline on 08088010711.

Helpfinder
Beat's directory of eating disorder services. Listings include NHS centres, counsellors, therapists, private clinics and support groups near you.

Message Boards
Use Beat’s message boards to speak to people with similar experiences to your own and find peer support in a non-judgemental and understanding environment.

Online Support Groups
Chat with other recoverees and carers in one of Beat's chat rooms. Sessions involve a mix of themed discussion and general conversation.
