The National Careers Service provides information, advice and guidance to help you make decisions on learning, training and work opportunities. The service offers confidential and impartial advice. This is supported by qualified careers advisers. If you have any questions or queries about jobs, careers, learning or training, you can get in touch via helpline, email, webchat or by post.
The National Careers Service website aims to:
• help you with careers decisions and planning
• support you in reviewing your skills and abilities and develop new goals
• motivate you to implement your plan of action
• enable you to make the best use of high quality career related tools.
Do you want to leave school, or have already left and are looking for work? There is a good way to earn money and learn at the same time.
On an apprenticeship you will be employed in a real job and receive quality training to help you get a nationally-recognised qualification.
If you're not quite ready for an apprenticeship, on a traineeship you can improve your maths, English and work skills whilst getting work experience too.
