Winston’s Wish is the leading childhood bereavement charity in the UK, offering a wide range of practical support to children, young people and their families after the death of a parent or sibling.

Winston’s Wish provide professional therapeutic support in a range of circumstances, including individual, group and residential settings. Support is available in schools, in person, online and over the phone.

Support services:

• Telephone help - The national freephone helpline (08088 020 021) is a vital tool for those coping with bereavement. It is manned by trained clinical practitioners and is free and confidential. Call for free advice and support.

• Email help - You can email 'askmailbox@winstonswish.org.uk' for advice and support following a bereavement

• Support for schools - Online resources and tailored training.

• Help to make sense - A website for young people, which includes podcasts, videos, tips and stories

• Face to face support services for homicide or military cases - UK

• Face to face support services for accident, illness and suicide families - Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Sussex, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire, Staffordshire and Cumbria.

• Training opportunities to support professionals working with bereaved children and young people - West Sussex, Gloucestershire and Manchester
