Service description:
Greenfields Specialist School for Communication (GSSC) is a Special Secondary School (Single Trust Academy) for up to 90 pupils aged 11-18.

The school provides education for pupils that will have profound, multiple and severe learning difficulties and associated sensory, physical, communication, and behavioural difficulties (including ASD and multi-sensory impairment).

GSSC is a purpose-built school set in its own grounds in the Goldings area of Northampton. Facilities include a fully-equipped music and drama studio, a sensory room, a hydrotherapy pool, and a state-of-the-art interactive classroom that provides the latest in visual and sensory stimulation.

The school has a policy of total communication so that every child’s individual communication skills are recognised as an integral part of their educational life. Alternative and Augmentative Communication methods, including the use of technologies, are a strong feature of the school (AAC).
