Aspen House is a five-bedroom home in Rushden that supports adults with learning disabilities and mild challenging behaviours.
Aspen Lodge adjoins Aspen House, and is a five-bedroom, purpose-built residential home. It specialises in supporting younger adults (generally aged 18-40) with learning disabilities and medium to high challenging behaviours.
Shared spaces at Aspen House include a large lounge, dining room and fitted kitchen, and a large, secure garden with patio area outside. There's one bedroom on the ground floor and four on the first floor. All bedrooms have their own en-suite bath or shower room. Every bedroom has a TV aerial socket and there's a cordless phone for people to use. Aspen House has its own seven-seater people carrier that the people supported there can make use of.
Aspen Lodge has five bedrooms and communal spaces include a large lounge, a dining room and a fully fitted kitchen. There's also a conservatory with a relaxing swing chair, and a large, secure back garden. Four of the five bedrooms have a sink with vanity cupboard and mirror. There are two communal bathrooms, one with a bath and toilet and one with a walk-in shower and toilet. Each bedroom has a TV aerial socket, and the individuals at the Lodge have access to their own seven-seater people carrier.
Both homes are a ten minute walk from Rushden town centre, and Northampton is only a 25-minute drive away.
Aspen House and Lodge encourage maximum independence and ensure the people supported in both homes have varied daily routines, their own person-centred schedule of activities, opportunities for voluntary or paid work, and access to education.
The service holds a National Autistic Society accreditation for quality autism provision.
