Haddon House offers a dedicated unit for adults who have extra support needs. We offer a range of services for people over 18 who have complex care needs and / or challenging behaviours. As part of the provision, we offer therapeutic and recreational activities both within the unit and suitably risk assessed locations in the local community.
We provide person centred opportunities in education, leisure, and community involvement. Weekly planners are based on individual interests, needs and wishes and are communicated according to symbolic levels of development.
- We work collaboratively with each individual in determining goals which are important and the steps need to achieve these.
- We aim to support individuals enhance interactions and develop communication methods.
- Activities include focusing on wellbeing and everyday living skills. This can include healthcare and diet, prompting independence, assessing the community, understanding sexuality, engaging with professionals, seeking further education and employment opportunities.
