Service description:
Speech and Language Therapists from Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) are offering free training to publicly-funded mainstream primary schools. The programme is funded by Northamptonshire County Council, and will help your school:

• Accelerate the speech, language and communication skills of pupils in order to raise achievement
• Identify and support pupils with speech, language and communication needs through targeted intervention and classroom strategies
• Evaluate the impact of speech and language intervention
• Prioritise which children will need referrals to specialist services
• Gain school to school support at forthcoming communication network meetings for course attendees

To get the best out of Talking Success, NHFT strongly recommend that (as a school) you book one Teaching Assistant, one SENCO, and one Class Teacher (up to 3 places are available per school) on your preferred dates.

This training will take place over 7 separate dates (including 5 full days and 2 half days), and you will be required to attend every day under your chosen cohort.
