Who are our children?

Our children awaiting adoption come from a range of age groups and backgrounds.

They could:

  • be siblings who we want to keep together
  • be playschool age or school age
  • be under school age and needing to be placed for Foster For Adopt
  • have special needs or disabilities
  • have experienced difficult childhoods and have problems they will need help to overcome
  • be from a diverse heritage.

The real face of adoption today

The examples below are all from our children awaiting adoption.

Two sisters aged one and three have been around "risky adults". The older child is traumatised and finds it difficult to trust adults. Could you build this trust?

A four-year-old loving, happy little boy was born with a rare genetic condition which creates a lot of uncertainty about his ongoing health needs. Could you adopt him?

An eight-year-old girl from mixed ethnicity has suffered from emotional abuse and neglect. Could you help build her self-esteem?

A sibling group of two boys (aged six and three) and a girl (aged one). The eldest is a virtual parent to his brother and sister. Could you help him and his siblings re-claim their childhood?

A four-year-old boy whose younger siblings are adopted. He has been diagnosed with autism. He can be both charming and challenging. Could you make his dreams come true?
