Woodnewton - A Learning Community (SEN Unit)

Type of provision/Range of need

SEN Unit Provision providing education, support and facilities for 10 children in Key Stage 1.

The provision caters for pupils with complex behaviours.

Admission arrangements and area served

Referrals are made via the Social, Emotional and Mental Health Panel. The child remains on roll at the referring school; the purpose of the placement is to successfully reintegrate the child back into their mainstream school.

Children attending the SEN Unit live primarily in the Corby/Kettering area and surrounding villages.

Where appropriate, pupil transport is provided in accordance with the Local Authority Transport Policy.
