Northamptonshire Centre for Independent Living, supporting Disabled People and Carers across Northamptonshire.
Run by Disabled People for Disabled People the Northamptonshire Centre for Independent Living acts as a focal point for disability related issues and supports people Countywide. With demonstration areas and offices in Northampton, staff can provide you with the information and support you or your family may need during transition or simply to provide a creative solution. The newly refurbished centre located at the Gladstone Road Resource Centre, Northampton is a first point of access to a wide range of information and services, enabling Disabled People to live independent lives and have more choice and control over the services and equipment they use.

People can access a wide range of information, advice and services including; Welfare Benefit support, Individual Budgets and Direct Payments advice and support so people can recognise their rights as equal citizens. There are extensive information libraries in a range of accessible formats with trained staff to assist on issues such as assistive technology; specialist equipment and can direct you to other support networks. Equipment areas offer a much needed “try before you buy” policy, aiding people to select the perfect equipment for their daily living needs.
