Service description:
The Northampton Neptunes are arguably the most well know basketball team in the National Division 2 Basketball league. The club was formed in June 2000
after a franchise take-over of the men's team formerly known as the "Northampton 89ers". It is testimony to the foresight and enthusiasm of Garry Swann, Mark
Spatcher and Mark Wilson who helped save the men's franchise from folding.
Over the past 3 seasons the club has acquired a reputation on the court for fast, exciting and attacking basketball. Off the court the club continues to pioneer the development of new talent via the "Hot Shots" basketball academy which makes the club so special.
The team faces a challenging year in the higher Division of basketball, but the home court support the team receives from its followers can always be relied upon to
motivate the squad to greater things.
Our web site is under continuing development. Once completed, we will be bringing you the latest information from within the Neptunes squad, plus regularly updated
match reports and results. In the meantime, please check out the history of the Neptunes and the fixtures list for the 2003/04 season.
The Northampton Neptunes Basketball Club expresses its gratitude to its sponsors whose
invaluable support is greatly appreciated.
Northampton Neptunes Basketball Club is a not-for-profit organisation funded entirely by the support of our sponsors and other community funding.
If you know of a company, organisation or individual who can assist with sponsorship or support to fund the increased running costs faced by the Neptunes in EBL 2, please contact us.
