The West Glebe Park ‘Wessy’ has seen many developments over the past 18 months. These include a new children’s play area, skate park & small BMX track, a new pavilion with 8 changing rooms and a Community room (100 person capacity), a 6 ‘A’ Side Multi Use Games Area (MUGA). Although the 4 senior grass pitches and 1 junior football pitch have been retained for the footballers’ within the town!

Apart from the play area, skate park & BMX track all of the facilities can be hired either on a seasonal/block booking basis or for casual bookings.

The Community room, as an example, holds 100 people and has a bar & kitchen area and is an ideal venue for parties, christenings, quiz nights & fund raising events as well as an ideal location for corporate/club & group meetings.

The ‘Wessy’ also runs after school & holiday activities for the children along with a varied assortment of classes/sessions and groups for both young and old alike.

These range from football/netball sessions, to aerobics and Nordic walking plus tea dances.

The ‘Wessy’ is certainly a place that the community can be proud of with so many activities and opportunities for all.
