Northamptonshire County Council is required by law to protect the public funds it administers.  The council's audit team oversees work to prevent fraud and to recover monies fraudulently obtained.

Please refer to our information on the National Fraud Initiative for further details.

As part of an open and transparent authority we are publishing, on an annual basis details of our counter fraud work.  This data will outline the number and amount the authority spends on the investigation and prosecution of fraud.
