Northamptonshire Analysis

Northamptonshire Analysis is a web-based tool which brings together a wide range of data and information about the county in one, easily accessible place.

It provides one version of the truth for the council and our partners and will become a key tool to:

  • Support the development of strategic plans and outcomes
  • Drive multi-agency, countywide strategic assessments including the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA),
  • Partnership Strategic Assessment (PSA) and the Local Economic Assessment
  • Support commissioning and procurement decisions for ourselves and partners
  • Support targeting of local service delivery
  • Support with bids to access external funding sources

What can it do?

The site allows users to view, customise, compare and export data and information quickly and easily.

Key functions include:

  • Dynamic reports which combine maps, tables and charts for easy comparison, which can be customised and exported to drop into reports
  • Profile reports which pull together a range of information, either by geographical area or theme, and present in a report combining text, tables, maps and charts
  • The ability to create specific data tables and export these to Excel to allow further analysis of the data
  • Information and data themes

The site has ten themes, each of which contain data and information on a wide range of indicators specific to the theme:

  • Community Involvement and Social Capital
  • Community Safety
  • Economy
  • Education and Skills
  • Environment and Living
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Performance Measures
  • Population and Census
