2020 Northamptonshire

2020 Northamptonshire highlights our aim to be a happier and healthier county by the year 2020. The responsibility for public health moved from the NHS to local authorities in April 2013 and improving the overall wellbeing of our communities is now part of the council’s overall aims.

Our new 2020 Northamptonshire approach brings together all council activity relating to health and wellbeing, to demonstrate their role in helping the county to become healthier and happier by 2020.

Events and projects contributing to this aim include:

Mass participation

This plan describes how we want to engage with our communities at a mass scale to achieve better health and wellbeing in the county.
