This year’s National Volunteers' Week takes place from 1 to 7 June, a celebration of over 21 million people volunteering in the UK, contributing an estimated £23.9bn to the economy.

These 21 million people are an amazing example of how we can all make a big difference to individuals and communities every day from improving the environment we live in, spending time with those who may otherwise be isolated or lonely and contributing to a range of other essential services and support.

In 2016, 1000's of people donated their time to support their local communities, enhancing the services that we provide throughout Northamptonshire.

As well as celebrating all things volunteering, Volunteers' Week is also about raising awareness of the benefits of getting involved, so if you know of anyone who might like to volunteer, why not encourage them to visit the Get Involved Hub to see some of the many opportunities available.
