Volunteers play a vital role in community sport all across the county and without the time, energy and commitment of these people many clubs, team sport sessions and coaching sessions would not be able to run.

Volunteering in sport isn't just about being a coach or an official - it can involve helping out at an event, organising a lunchtime running group, 5-a-side football league or even rounders in the park! Or perhaps use your IT, marketing, administration, fundraising and management skills to support clubs or just get involved to help and have fun.

Volunteering in sport is a great way to meet new people and make new friends, gain experience, confidence and develop new skills and to make a real difference by giving something back to your local community.

Northamptonshire hosts a range of major high profile events throughout the year which require volunteers such as British Cycling's 'Women's Tour', Sainsbury's School Games, 5k Race Series, Volleyball England National Cup Finals and much more.
