History of the race

Who are the organisers?

The Aviva Women's Tour is organised and promoted by SweetSpot, the company behind the current organisation of the men's Aviva Tour of Britain since 2004.

What is the Women's Tour?

In March 2013 SweetSpot first announced their intention to create a standalone stage race for the world's top female cyclists in Britain - the first event of its kind. Later that year SweetSpot received the news that the Women's Tour had been granted a place in the UCI calendar for May 2014.
