New corporate 5-aside team for Northampton businesses

11 June 2010

With the World Cup nearly here, there’s no better time for people to dust off their football boots and start playing again.

Northamptonshire Sport has partnered up with The FA and GOALS Soccer Centre on Mereway to provide a corporate league for businesses in Northampton and it even comes with a corporate price tag attached. Normally prices range from £40 per team, however you can access the league plus the facilities up on Mereway for just £25 per team (per week) – this means that between seven players, with the formation of roll-on, roll-off subs, this works out at a very affordable £3.50 per person.

The league starts on Monday 21st June. The games kick off at 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. For more information or to book your team in to see if you can be the best in Northampton contact Lizzi England, Northamptonshire Sport 01604 236361 or email eengland@northamptonshire.gov.uk

Nationally, the programme aims to target 900,000 young people aged 5 – 19 years to take up an additional 2 – 3 hours sport activity each week.

Northamptonshire Sport is committed to ensuring that sport, physical activity and recreation across Northamptonshire is both safe and inclusive.
