A week of events has been organised for national Learning Disability Week (21st to 27th June).
Learning Disability Week is Mencap’s national awareness week and as part of this the Northamptonshire Learning Disability Partnership is working with county organisations to co-ordinate various events looking at services in the county for people with learning disabilities and opportunities to find out more about the support on offer.
There will also be health and carer information stands at various county locations during the week, which will be topped off by a charity disco in Corby to raise money for Mencap.
More information about the events planned for Learning Disability Week is on the Northamptonshire Learning Disability Partnership website www.northantsldpb.org.uk
The Northamptonshire Learning Disability Partnership is made up of representatives from Northamptonshire County Council, health, education, self-advocates and many other groups.
