Daventry street dance class calls for new members to come and take part

06 September 2010

A popular Northamptonshire dance class is calling for new members. The northantsDance workshops offer aspiring street dancers the chance to perfect the moves performed by their favourite pop stars, in a Daventry setting.

The classes, for people ages 12 to 19, run at Daventry Leisure Centre every Wednesday evening during term time and offer the chance to learn and create exciting street dance moves. It also offers the chance to perform at dance showcases across Northamptonshire and beyond.

Councillor Andre Gonzalez de Savage, cabinet member for customers and communities, said: “This is a great opportunity for young people in the county to get involved in dance in their local community. It is an unusual skill which young people will be keen to show off and also to encourage them to be fit and healthy whilst having plenty of fun at the same time.”

The classes start back on 6th October and cost £30 for 10 weeks tuition.
