Northamptonshire County Council will carry out resurfacing works on the Wellingborough Road in Northampton next month as part of its county-wide programme of highways repairs.
Details of the work
The resurfacing will take place on the route between Wilby Street and St Edmunds Street, with work restricted to Sundays when levels of traffic are at their lowest.
In order to do the work road closures are necessary between 8:00am and 6:00pm. The council is also asking people not to park in the area when the work is being carried out.
Resurfacing will take place on:
- Sunday 8 September
- Sunday 15 September
- Sunday 29 September
Works will not be carried out on Sunday 22 September to accommodate the expected increased traffic for the Madness concert at the county cricket ground.
Outside of working hours the road will be accessible. During the work, drivers may wish to allow a little extra time for their journeys and a fully signed diversion route will be in place.
