Help with everyday living - organisations that can help

Olympus Care Services

At Olympus Care Services, we offer a wide range of activities for a personalised day service specifically for people with physical disabilities. The person-centred approach is varied and stimulating, with each individual having a bespoke programme arranged according to their needs, abilities and desires.

Some activities aim to increase independence skills whilst others are pure fun. Depending on the activity and the degree of support needed, people are able to take part on their own, with an activity worker or as part of a group.

Our activities are as unique and diverse as the people taking part, and include leisure and educational opportunities such as:

  • cookery
  • hydrotherapy
  • relaxation
  • hobbies such as art, craft, music, pottery and drama
  • gym and exercise
  • socialising*
  • fishing
  • sailing
  • discussion groups
  • IT Suite
  • personalised support with form filling, liaising with agencies and health professionals
  • pamper sessions
  • hairdressing
  • chiropody
  • speech and language therapy
  • physiotherapy

*The last Thursday of every month, 6.30pm to 9pm, at Gladstone Road Resource Centre, there is a social evening with a different theme each month.

Our staff are friendly, caring, highly trained and committed to the customer’s needs. Our dedicated teams arrange activities, keep records and set programmes that allow time for people to meet together to enjoy relaxation, refreshments and a hot main meal. Staff are on hand at all times and take responsibility for meeting personal care and dietary needs.
