Service description:
The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) is the umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector in England. It has a membership of more than 12,000 voluntary organisations. These range from large national bodies to community groups, volunteer centres, and development agencies working at a local level.

The NCVO has a network of accredited Volunteer Centres that spans the country. They’re often a good place to start looking for volunteering opportunities in the local area. They can find out what you're interested in doing, and try to match you with a suitable volunteering role with a local charity or voluntary organisation.
