Service description:
Headway Northampton is a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) and a registered charity. They are affiliated to Headway UK, the brain injury association.

Headway Northampton was founded in 1982, and has developed into a Centre of Excellence for brain-injured adults and their families.

Their specialist, community-based day unit (for adults aged 18-70) offers both short- and long-term placements at an affordable rate. This pleasant, safe, and “non-clinical” facility has full disabled access, a wellbeing suite (with showering facilities), a hospitality and dining area, and a large award-winning garden.

Headway Northampton offer therapeutic workshops and structured programmes with a person-centred approach. They are designed to address the varied and complex needs of the brain-injured person, and to maintain their rehabilitation.

Headway Northampton also provide help, support, and advice to families and carers. They signpost and liaise with other agencies on behalf of families and service users (on request).

This provider has been awarded a local authority contract to provide services for adults with learning disabilities.
