Specialist Independent Deaf Advocacy
Deaf Hub’s advocates are fully qualified and the service is open to deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind people living in and around Northamptonshire.
Deaf Hub provides activities to improve the physical, mental health and wellbeing of deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind people. Activities are run both internally and externally, working in partnership with other organisations. Deaf Hub will ensure participants have equal access to activities (regardless of whether it’s a specialist or mainstream activity).
Deaf Hub offers support to ensure equal access in education, employment, and training. They provide specialist workshops (both internally and externally from other organisations), which are specifically designed for deaf people. These workshops support all aspects of the job market - from job searching and application forms, to interviews and presentation. Deaf Hub also works with employers to create awareness and break down the barriers faced by the deaf community.
Deaf Hub offer iBSL Accredited Awards / Certificates in British Sign Language (Levels 1-3).
