Service description:

If you’re ill or disabled, Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) offers you financial support if you’re unable to work. You can apply if you’re employed, self-employed, or unemployed.

If you apply for ESA you must have a work capability assessment. If you're deemed eligible for ESA, you will be expected to attend either a work-related activity group or a support group. Failure to attend the work-related activity group could result in a benefit sanction lasting up to 4 weeks.
