Their work includes:
• Campaigning on a range of issues from preventing sight loss through to better transport services for blind and partially sighted people
• Supporting others through a range of products and services
• Offering training, education and learning
• Employment and education services
• Promoting accessible services

Their website offers a wealth of information on how, where and when RNIB can support people with sight loss. And you’ll find advice that will help you live independently and products in the online shop.

Emotional and practical support

They offer emotional and practical support through their helpline (0303 123 9999 or email '') and their Sight Loss Counselling team. They offer advice about money, eye health and how to access local services. They provide education and employment services and advice that enables people with sight loss to retain and gain jobs.

Improving educational opportunities

They aim to improve educational opportunities for blind and partially sighted children and adults, including those with complex needs.

They offer learning opportunities through their own RNIB schools and colleges. They also offer advice on other educational services and specific advice and support for education professionals.

Making services more accessible

They work to make services more accessible such as transport and getting around, shopping and banks and banking to enable more people with sight loss to live independently. They also work to influence partners across the world to make using products and technology easier.
