Run by SEN teachers and parent volunteers, 'Picture the Difference' is a Community Interest Company offering performing arts opportunities for young people and adults with additional needs who are passionate about the arts.
Picture the Difference offer arts experiences, with the aim for participants to share their learnt skills through performance, through assisting in workshops and in devising their own creative projects. Picture the Difference offer four-day drama/arts projects in the school holidays. They work on a 'theme' and support participants to devise their own creative responses to this, culminating in a final performance or performing and visual arts.Monday Nights
Picture the Difference meet weekly during term time on a Monday night, 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Keystone Youth Centre. These social nights are for young people and adults with additional needs aged 14 and over. Activities are organised to suit the group’s interests including: drama games and improvisation, art workshops, games nights, creative writing, dance and social events.Club Night
Picture the Difference's 'Club Nights' take place at the Eden Centre in Kettering. They involve dance, dress up and the odd comedy spot by Picture the Difference's talented participants. Friends and families of participants are welcome. Free Fridays
• Tea Dance Project:
An opportunity to learn a range of different dances such as line-dancing, barn dances and well-known fun dances and a chance to get fit, socialise and sample cakes made that morning. This will culminate in the group hosting a Tea-Dance for local groups, sharing their learnt dance skills and baked goods.
