Service description:
Nordic walking is a social and low-impact activity that can be done by most people. It is suitable for all ages (8-80 years) and suit all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. Young people or adults with learning disabilities are more than welcome to attend.

The walks are guided by Kev Brown, who is a qualified, insured instructor with first aid training. Kev is also a Parkinson’s UK Champion and Mentor, and works closely with the Forestry Commission.

Regular “Learn 2 Nordic Walk” classes and workshops and walks take place at various times throughout the day, and on evenings and weekends. Walks vary in length from half a mile to a half-marathons, and are graded to make it easier for people to find one suitable for them. Walking poles are provided for all training and can be hired for walks.
