In October 2018, the Community Teams for Learning Disability, the Intensive Support Team and the Specialist and Complex Learning Disability team started operating as a single team at two bases: one in Northampton at Newland House and the other in Kettering at the Carey Suite in St Mary's Hospital and changed their names to Northamptonshire Learning Disability Support Service.

A short breaks service is offered (at 1 Willow Close
in Northampton) for adults who have learning disabilities and associated complex health needs. It operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
