Schools And Education Providers
Leicester Street, Northampton, Northamptonshire NN1 3RS
The CE Academy's Overleys Campus is an 'alternative education provision' for school-age mothers. It teaches Key Stages 3 and 4 (ages 11-16, or Years 7-11).
The CE Academy provides alternative education for young people who are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion, pregnant, school-age mothers, or dual-registered.
They respond to the educational needs of pupils who would otherwise be attending mainstream or special schools, and pupils take the appropriate external examinations.
Pupils have personalised learning plans. Academic expectations are high and related to pupils’ abilities.
Pupils who are at risk of exclusion, pregnant, school-age mothers, or dual-registered can be referred to the academy by their school.
Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils can be referred to the academy by their school or by Northamptonshire County Council.
Permanently excluded pupils can be referred by the County Council’s Educational Inclusion and Partnerships (EIP) Team.
