Service description:
A Community Interest Company offering free educational services to families who have found themselves home schooling, for access and inclusion reasons.

NHES is a collective of teachers and educators, passionate about the notion of ‘education for all’, volunteering their time and services to young people who are not accessing formal education.

Young people are offered learning opportunities through a free timetable of events called Right2Learn, combining academic subjects with arts and crafts and wellbeing sessions. Services are currently mainly at evenings and weekends, but are being developed to offer week days too. Group sizes are small to enable educators to meet young people's needs and reduce anxiety.

Young people and their families have the opportunity to meet others and socialise. NHES work with those who participate to organise trips and days out.

Parents and carers are offered free Navigate training sessions to develop home educators' skills and confidence.

Services are at various community centres and libraries around Northants, and events are added regularly to the Right2Learn and Navigate programmes.

Parents make contact by joining the mailing list, or simply booking a free session on the website.

Sessions are for predominantly aimed at 8-16 year olds but this varies from session to session.
